There are three superpowers that dominate our world: United States, Russia, and China. Each of these nations represent something. In this age of information rumors of a global conflict involving these three powerbrokers at first sounded like make-believe. But if you been up on current events, the possibility of a third world war is on the brink of taking place. With 2024 being such a crazy year and our source of leadership not having the confidence of the masses, I do not know where the pendulum is going to swing. Our socio atmosphere is filled with pessimism and scandal which means that I feel as though "we the people" will not get a say as to where things may be headed.
The United States of America represents liberty, freedom, and equality. Liberty to feel as one pleases and to act as one wants to. Freedom to live how one wants to. Equality in the sense of being equal in status, rights, and opportunities. Citizens of the United States may differ as to what these values truly mean. However, there is no other place where a greater hope is displayed. America's first war will be fought on the inside before a foreign army makes a move on one of our allies. Common ground sought out between all Americans must be made before our country is destroyed.
Russia represents expansion. Military expansion. Business expansion. Cultural expansion. You name it, Russia has used every angle for the cause of expansion. Russia's president Vladimir Putin has been on a mission to bring Russia back to her glory days when she was named the U.S.S.R. So far, Putin hasn't gotten his way yet. Since the offshoot of the invasion of Ukraine Putin has been threatening countries in Eastern Europe such as Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Not to my surprise, most of reporters called this Putin trying to expand Russia's territory out west into the continent of Europe. Whether Putin succeeds isn't in our hands.
China represents manufacturing. When I use the word manufacturing, I mean it on a mass level. Everything from our clothes to the design of our television and cell phones comes out of China. It is safe to say that besides what is happening in the Red Sea, China does not need a military to turn the world upside down. All that China has to do is shut down its production plants. China has changed their constitution, making President Xi Jinping "president for life." The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the country's leading political party. This same political party has published their own bible and has a chokehold on its citizens everyday life. China has a lot to lose in all of this. Think of a person that is on the come up. They will do everything and anything to garner more power to stay on top.
Before we go picking a side, making up theories, or panicking let us be reminded that we are at war with ourselves. The war that I am referring to is mental, physical, and spiritual. We must align ourselves with what God says in His word. If we can't do anything else, it is to pray. Pray for hope. Hope that will liberate the enslaved and give light to the lost.
About three days ago I went kayaking. For me water calms my nerves and clears my mind. Rowing through the waves was some good exercise for my arms. It was as if all the world's problems had faded away for a while. During my last couple of minutes riding the waves I became inspired to do some personal work. I am all about shifting and growing into a better person. If we do not grow how can the world around us be better than we left it.
